Pure Pakistani

Now, Government is going to punish the person who sends ‘ill-motivated’ or ‘indecent’, anti-government messages through Short Message Service (SMS) or Email under Cyber Crime Act and guilty person can be imprisoned for 14 years and Pakistanis living abroad will be deported from Pakistan if found sending provocative, indecent, and ill-motivated messages. What more can be expected from the government, now they have come up with another excuse to divert the attention of Pakistanis from many major issues like electricity crisis, price hike, SWAT situation etc.

One of my friends told me about this and I thought it’s just a joke but while browsing on the Internet, I read this in a magazine ‘Flare’. This is not a joke but we can all laugh at it.  According to Government, these are anti-government people who are promoting hatred against the government for no reason.

Government talks about the democracy and everyone has the right to express whatever they want, for government or against government. And in a democratic country, people can be imprisoned for 14 years for saying something against the Government. Wow! How democratic! Government never passed some budget for people who admire their efforts for the betterment of Pakistan (well…I couldn’t see any. I think I am blind). The authorities should stop playing with the country and its citizens and concentrate on the real issues. Solve the issues and there will be no more ‘ill-motivated and indecent’ messages.
