Miscellaneous

Corruption in Pakistan is not a new thing as everyone poor or rich is always looking for a way to earn some extra bucks forgetting whether it’s legal or illegal, moral or immoral. I live in Rawalpindi and near a very busy chowk in Rawalpindi; there is a Soda Wala who has established his business on the service road. He is using electric from nearby electric tower and enjoying his time. Well…that’s nothing new but I, because of my curiosity went to ‘his place’ and asked him some questions regarding the place and the concerned authorities who are supposed to take action against these illegal acts.

When I asked him that CDA let you do business on the road? He laughed and said, there is nothing impossible in Pakistan. CDA people come monthly and take their share and let me do my business. I asked do you pay any bills; he gave me a smile and pointed toward the electric tower.

Lemon Soda WalaNow what could I say. I was speechless. This is a common problem we can see all around us. And those who are supposed to solve these problems, they take the money form them and sleep. That’s what is happening everywhere. We all are being so selfish. We are just not taking full responsibility. If every one of us takes the full responsibility, believe me we can make this place worth living. If we all being honest then these problems will never appear.
