President and CEO of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTCL), Walid Irshaid has declared no line-rent for telephone lines which are out of order and are not resolved within 20 days. The decision was announced in a meeting with members of Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI). President of KCCI, Anjum Nisar briefed him about the current situation of KCCI and it’s work and also briefed him about the activities they are doing to uplift the economy of Pakistan.
He also drew Walid Irshad’s attention to the infrastructure of PTCL in Karachi. As Karachi brings about 60% of total revenue of PTCL so, it is supposed to have a very good and strong infrastructure. Because of the recent heavy rains, it became obsolete that resulted into loss of communication between the Customers and the PTCL.
