Model Indian Aur Jazz Apna Hai

Recently Mobilink launched a campaign introducing a new tag line ‘Jazz Apna Hai’ for its prepaid brand. Reports say, it was produced and directed by India and even more the actors casted were Indian as well.
The Telecom Companies of Pakistan have once again used an Indian production house for it TV commercial or media campaign but this time Mobilink took a bold step and casted Indian models and actresses.
The trend of casting Indian models for different media campaigns in Pakistan is rising, recently Kareena appeared on hoardings and billboards for Firdous Textile, Deepika Padukone in another ad for a textile firm and even Amitab Bachan appearing on a Quiz Show. Where would this end?
Signing an Indian model is totally legal as far as the business point of view is concerned. On the other hand, question arises if this practice by Pakistani companies is going to hurt the local industry or not? The straight forward answer is YES.
An advertising expert, who asked for anonymity said;
No doubt there is a lot of talent I Pakistan, and we don’t even lack behind in technical facilities. Pakistan has one of the best producers who have produced top quality music videos I must say better than Indians then why can’t we produce TVCs?
He said;
This new trend is going to hurt local industry at large, above all in this scenario where Pakistani industry is already suffering. For example, recently Warid signed film actress Saima for one of its campaign. And she did better than of this Indian lady.
When he was asked about advantages of this trend, he replied the only thing that differentiates both industries is the professionalism. A TVC is shot in minimum deadline in India, where processes are so smooth and sequel that it hardly takes 2/3 days for completion of a TVC.
He advised Pakistani companies should sign local talent and promote it, with good purpose.

Mobilink might hire Paki actors but from my point of view they hired bollywood actor & actress becuase bollywood celebrities are the star of nation they do business. Mobilink gives more attention to their consumers and did’nt thinked much about paki stars…

Hypocrisy, Do repeat “apna hai, apna hai, jazz apna hai” and hire foreigners. Wow, this nation is hypocrite. Not one, we all.
