It is very unfortunate to see that the Pakistani Media especially news channels promoting indian content in news. Almost all news channels involved in promting bollywood and anything which is reflecting indian culture for just the name of cheap entertainment. Our news bulletin can’t be completed without one bollywood news, this is where we are standing.
Pakistan has a “very free” media and at the same time immature and irresponsible. Just to increase the ratings of their shows, they can do any possible thing to attract the viewers. You might have watched the news bulletins many times with Indian Celebrity news accompanying with a very vulgar dance performance. If Priety Zinta turned 36, what makes it a news? I mean who cares (those who care can go to Internet and find it).
Okay…. that might be a news for her fans but whats the purpose of showing her very vulgar dance compilation after that “news”. They can show it in some particular segment like entertainment so that we never stay on that station to see that segment with family. It emerges right after the headlines start and everybody is running towards the tv remote control to switch the channel. Honestly, its quite embarrassing.
What are your opinions about this? Do you think, its very necessary to promote Indian content in news headlines?
I second with you. The media never cares about the country or ethics. Its all about ratings now. Shame on your Media!
I have been working with a news TV channel for the last couple of years and I want to quit the job because of this stupidity but I can’t. Very well written article.
Yes I totally agree with you but you know they r not doing this just for the sake of cheap entertainment, i think they have a clear agenda about this.it seems thatt They are being paid for their betrayal to the country.Everyday we observe that these channels are keen to potray the negative side of Pakistan as much as they can. They are very cautious not to give any positive news to the nation which would give them a ray of hope. On the other side, they give news about indian film industry which gives a positive and soft image. I always wonder that why our cable operators donot allow the indian news channels which are full of negative propaganda and hatred against Pakistan. This can open the eyes of our public, but they have a clear intention of keeping us ignorant and indulged in indian vulgarity. There should be clear cut stand against this and indian content should be banned completely.This is very easy for the government but alas! they are not interested.And whateveter Pakistan media is doing to harm their their own country, they should timely realize that they will end up burning their own home one day or the other. They can never find refuge with the enemy.
