Mobilink goes down in twin cities Islamabad/Rawalpindi from past 4 hours. Customers living in Islamabad/Rawalpindi are  not recieving mobilink signals and they are facing this problem from 5 pm evening.

When we talk to mobilink on this issue they told us there is a technical problem and technical team is working on it and we are trying to fix this as earliest as possible.

Update: Due to fire at one of the mobilink’s office which is located in I-10/3 islamabad the main switching center of mobilink is damaged, so due to that mobilink service is down in many cities including Islamabad/Rawalpindi.
It will take two or three days for complete service restoration in affected areas.

Update: Mobilink service is partially restored in affected areas. Now customers are facing the network busy problem.
Update: Mobilink service is fully restored in affected areas.

    Dear,

This problem will remain in next few days also. Because the Media Gateway site in isalamabad I-10 Sector has been burnt due to unknown reason. Now they are trying to switch the network load on other Media Gate Way. But this will f*** the network too badly in Islamabad/RawalPindi.

    Thanks

I have ufone but am sympathetic towards Mobilink!
Why is there a war between companies! its not about offers or competition! there was a disaster at mobilink and we are bad mouthing it!
    truly upsetting!

Well its pretty good on their part to apologize to the customers first of all… also, the fact that they fixed it so quick goes to show that the telco is no joke..accidents happen all around, its how they deal with it that stands them out from the rest and i must say, Mobilink in my view DID AMAZING AND TOTALLY STANDS OUT HERE!!!

  14. mumtaz says:

i agree with sidra, i don’t get why people go all offensive when accidents like these happen which are totally unavoidable and can happen to anybody. we should never be ungrateful and so negative-minded that if a company that has been contributing to the development of pakistani cellular services for so long has an accident and the service gets disturbed for a couple of hours, we start saying bad stuff about it. this is disappointing. though i’m not a mobilink user but i think we should totally support them and rather appreciate for their timely fix of the problem..

  15. hamza says:

I guess this is very good that Mobilink services are getting restored within 24 hours of fire break-out. This is how dedicated companies work! We should give them some credit for working so efficiently for our connectivity. As for these accidents, they are always unpredictable and inevitable.

  28. roundthecorner says:

No business continuity or disaster recovery policies/plans? What a joke. They bill themselves as one of the most professional organization in Pakistan, and claim to set the bar really high while hiring people, all that talent and not a single person had the foresight to do risk analysis and plan for disaster recovery? What a joke.

  29. afzal says:
