Technology is penetrating in every sphere, even in battlefields to assist soldiers as best it could. Although the advancement in technology and communication serves the interest of the public too, primarily, it has been experimented in ways to make weapons work effectively and to ease work load for soldiers.
Recently it has been reported by the British newspaper, Daily Mirror, that the British soldiers serving in the frontline will get high-tech battle gears much like those shown in the movie, Universal Soldier. Although a lot of the stuff seen in movies is are things from science-fiction writers, but sometimes they can be actualized through technological innovation.
The battle dresses of the British soldiers will be lightened in weight with high-tech equipment attached. That will make their dress work as a radio, which can pick up signals. They will be like walking antennas with the high-tech radios sewn into their battle dresses fabrics.
They will also get “head-cams” put into their helmets as well as wrist-mounted “smartphones”. All this has been done merely to make soldiers’ patrolling job easier, because the heavier load can not only slow them down, but also tire them. The high-tech gear will also help to transmit important battlefield information to the higher command as well as help in coordination between soldiers.
The British are said to be big on technology and excited about everything innovative. Taking their likeness to battlefields shows their intense technophilic nature.
