Recently, we reported about the 9th Plasti & Pack Pakistan 2011 being held at the Expo Centre Lahore. It is a three-day exhibition that will end on October 1. The exhibition was attended by over 100 companies from 19 different countries from around the world. The exhibition covered latest technology in plastics, printing and packaging materials and machinery, which is of importance for better manufacturing and processing of food and chemical products to go along properly and healthily. The future of plastics industry is in flexible packaging and bio degradable products that will help protect both the environment and health of consumers.
The event was hosted with support from various government departments that made many high profile people to attend the exhibition including business delegations, counsel generals and buyers. It has been decided by Pegasus Consultancy, which has organized over 70 international exhibitions in the past ten years, that it will conduct many more such exhibitions in Lahore to showcase Pakistani technological innovations that will grab attention due to its market potential.
The event has been successful in bringing forward genuine Pakistani technology and innovative talent. The exhibition demonstrated the first ‘Made in Pakistan’ 3-Layer film extrusion line which of international standards for food packaging. The pp woven bag making looms, food processing lines, conversion line for packaging, labeling machines, food chemicals and raw materials, pipe extrusion, flexible packaging machines, plastic raw material and chemicals along with many other latest technological innovations were also shown at the exhibition.
