Apple has reported sales of 4 million for its new smartphone, iPhone 4S, within the first three days. This means that it was selling 16 units each second. Either is it a successful marketing on behalf of Apple or it is the frenzy on part of the buyers, who are not just any other product customers, but rather act more as Apple fans.
Hence, the sales for the new iPhone are on the high and will cover the last quarter of this year for the company in a profitable way. As if this is a new phenomenon of Apple with its iPhone fans, Apple is looking to ship 42.5 million iPhones worldwide before the next year begins. There is no doubt that it will hold up to that challenge admirably. This prediction has come from the Swiss investment banking firm, UBS. So far, it has reached 28 million in the third quarter and is expected to achieve the target.
A lot of the customers did not buy a new iPhone before October 4 expected to get iPhone 5. But their disappointment came when it was iPhone 4S. But the fans seems to have kept their dissatisfaction aside and have embraced iPhone 4S just as they would have otherwise. Even though, a lot of the people think that the new iPhone has nothing different to offer in terms of its technology, except a new look and a few new features here and there with no measure change.
