The recently organized awards for smartphones and its technology were held by the UK-based website T3. This year was the 5th time they were being held. The smartphone of the year was Samsung Galaxy S II. This award is rightly deserved as the much hyped iPhone 4 loses out. The annual T3 awards show recognizes one of the most prominent annual presentations of the best of the year’s consumer electronics offering and Samsung Galaxy S II has taken the lead.
The Apple fans might be a little disappointed believing that their smartphone deserves the price, but those who have made the right choice of Samsung Galaxy S II instead of any other would be very pleased with these results. Although iPhone 4 had great sales upon its release, just as now there are reports saying that iPhone 4S has become the best-selling smartphone by Apple, despite it not fulfilling users’ expectations.
Hence, anything Apple seems to sell, but it is the matter of users’ satisfaction and performance that counts here. One of the reasons that experts believe why iPhone 4 lost to Samsung Galaxy S II is because of its tendency to drop calls due to its antenna placement. Some of the other phones that were nominated in the category were HTC, Incredible S, Motorola Atrix, Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, and the HTC Sensation.
