Zong Recently launched new sms packages,but many customers told us that they are facing problem in re-subscription.If you subscribed zong weekly bundle and after a week, when bundle offer expired at 12 midnight and new subscription should be take place at same time but you will be automatically subscribed to bundle not at that time but after two to three hours, and the messages you sent in that time period to be charged as per tariff plan.When i talked to zong customer service rep. he said new subscription take some time,but i personally think thats a trick from Zong to take money out from customers pocket.

ZONG Internet Problem Continues – Worst Network Ever

I recently made my life’s bigger mistake and ported in to ZONG from Warid. I wrote about it earlier as well and I switched my network to Warid. Warid was going good for me but I was kind of ZONG Loyal and switched back to it. They still have problems with GPRS/EDGE, delay in SMS receipt, busy network and I feel stupid taking such action.

ZONG always focus on low price products but fail to provide quality service which is utmost need of many customers. When I use ZONG Internet, people find my number switched off or busy which I already mentioned in my previous write-up an year ago. So, even after an year, ZONG failed to rectify these issues. Their customer base is growing but QoS is becoming sub-standard.

Zong to Charge Re. 10+Tax on Balance Inquiry

CMPak brand, Zong is now going to charge 10 Paisas + Tax on all balance inquiries on *222# with effect from September 1, 2009. This is always a good method to take extra money out of customer’s pocket because most of the people do not give attention to lower deductions and imagine 5 million users checking their balances daily just one time, will give an extra income of Rs. 500,000/- to Zong.

Here is the message I received from Zong;

Dear Customer. From Sep 01,2009 Balance inquiry request *222# will be charged @10 paisa+t to give you the seamless connectivity on ZONG network

Problem with Zong GPRS/EDGE

No doubt Zong has a very good GRPS package for its customers but there are certain issues which the subscribers are facing including me. When users use GRPS/EDGE, they are unable to receive calls. The person who is trying to reach you get a Switch Off recording message i.e. Your desired number is not responding at the moment, please try again later.

At First, I thought may be its just me but then I confirmed it with my friends and they are also facing the same issue. May be there is a bug on Zong Server and I will be calling Zong helpline today to lodge my complaint.

If you are a big fan of MMS but cannot send much MMS because of high charges, you can again enjoy a lot of SMS+MMS per day with Zong Prepaid. The offer is named as SMS+MMS bundle package. Users can send 600 SMS and MMS per day (Continue reading to know the breakup of SMS and MMS). You are being charged Rs. 3.99+ Tax per day for this service. The service subscription is on daily basis and automatic. If you have enough balance, you will be charged and your subscription will be continued and vice versa, but if you want to unsubscribe at any time, you can do that.
