PTA Customers Perception Survey Result: Mobilink Ranked First

Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA) declare Mobilink as an excellent cellular mobile operator among its competitors.This was announced in its results after customers perception survey result which was held in September/October 2011. The Ufone stands on last position.

PTA launched a SMS-based Consumer perception survey system 8899 aiming to seek consumers perception about performance of their respective cellular mobile operators.For this survey, PTA made special arrangements to make it a free of cost service to encourage maximum participation from general public. The survey is first of its kind.

The survey was conducted by outreaching telecommunication consumers to maximize the geographical coverage. A transparent and fast ‘SMS-based’ mechanism was followed where users were asked to participate in the survey by sending response through SMS ranging from 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest) as per their perception. On the basis of the feedback received, PTA has compiled the final results.

Warid get second position in excellent category, Telenor on third, Zong on fourth and Ufone is on last position. As well as in poor category Zong get first position, Ufone on second, Telenor on third and Mobilink on fourth position and Warid on last.

Zong Facebook Mobile Alerts

ZONG offers Facebook mobile alerts. Subscribers can now be sent alerts that keep them up to date on their favorite social network, without being online.

How to Activate:

Registration Process:

To activate Facebook alerts, the subscriber will be required to login at the following link:

http://www.facebook.com/mobile

Once logged in, the user will be required to click the Account menu and select Account Settings from the drop down menu as shown below:

Next, the user will click Mobile tab as shown above. To register follow a simple three step process:

Step 1:

Users will click Register to Facebook Text Messages. ZONG users will be required to select “Pakistan” as country and “ZONG” as carrier and click next.

Step 2:

User will be asked to send “f” to 32665 from their mobile handset to get confirmation code. The letter “f” needs to be sent without quotes.

Step 3:

Enter confirmation code in the opened dialog box and click confirm. User will then be directed to the notification setup page and will be confirmed about their Facebook Text Messages activation feature.

On this page users can edit all notification settings e.g. what kind of notifications to receive, what should be the time of notification, number of notifications to be received, etc. To save setting users will be required to click Save Preferences button.

Users can also add multiple phone numbers to a single profile or remove existing phone numbers as well, however notifications will only be sent to a single number.

All SMS sent to 32665 will be charged Re 1 plus tax.
All notifications received are free of charge.

Picture Upload through MMS:

ZONG users can now also upload their pictures straight from their handset on to their facebook profile. To upload a picture user will be required to login into the below link get their unique email address.

Once a user is logged in, they will acquire a unique Facebook-MMS Email ID as shown below. They can find the Email ID under Upload via Email heading. For example purposes only, the Email ID for the logged in account whose snapshot is attached is: agatha703lepton@m.facebook.com.

Or users can simply click “Send my upload email to me now” link under Upload via Email heading and then can receive their unique Facebook-MMS Email ID on their email or mobile handset.

To upload a picture from mobile, user will only be required to MMS their picture to the provided Facebook-MMS Email ID and their uploaded picture will appear on their Facebook under Mobile Upload album.

Today zong is celebrating Sub Keh Do day. So we decided to celebrate it in opposite way.Share your personal experience and view about zong.

I personally not happy with zong and they are cheater in my point of view.Many time they deduct my balance and never returned back.

Customer service is not good, To talk with CSR at helpline is also a day dream, you have to pay for it but your call will be attented after 5-8min.

- Delayed Resubscribtion of SMS Bundles which leads to deduction of balance when you send sms in that time period.
- Poor Customer Service
- Network Coverage is Pathetic

Customers can participate in this game using the following distinct mediums: Primary medium – SMS 7711: ZONG’s special cricket transmission on Play TV will include 10 questions per match day.
Each question will have a specific prize associated with it. Customers will send their reply to 7711 and be charged Rs 2+tax/ SMS Each customer will have until the start of the next question to answer the previous question.
For example, if Question 2 is being broadcast and customer replies to question 1, the answer for Question 1 will be invalid and he/she will be charged for SMS/IVR reply Add-on medium – IVR 7711:

Charges: These customers will compete by answering a multitude of questions via IVR to get maximum points per day – the customer with the most points for that day will receive a prize. What are the charges for participating in this game?

Customers can send SMS to 7711 with answer to the current question, at Rs. 2+tax per SMS. Customers who subscribe on the IVR wil be charged a daily subscription fee of Re. 1+tax. They will be charged Rs. 0.50+tax per min through IVR.

How often will a new question get floated?
With a total of 10 questions during the whole match, one question will be posted after almost every 10 overs; however, the frequency may vary depending upon the match situation.

Do I get any consolation prize if my answers are not correct?
With Cricket Ki Jeet, everyone is a winner. Each customer will be credited with 5 free SMS for each SMS reply on 7711, irrespective of whether their answer is correct or not. These free resources will be posted to the customers’ account at day-end and will be valid for 1 day.
